36 x 48in Acrylic on Archival-Quality Natural Cotton

This commission came through a brief encounter at Flying Squirrel (a restaurant in Chattanooga TN). From there, we met several more times to lock in more of an idea around what type of painting would speak to them most. I told him if I’d guess what animal he’d be, my guess would be a bear….at that moment, (sitting upstairs next to Saint Johns at Meeting Place), we knew we had it. It lined up with a memory of his in Mexico, when everyone called him “Osos” and he got his face painted like a bear. It was one of his best memories.

So fun exploring commissioned paintings this way…over a few days, allowing the process and painting to simply become, whatever it’s meant to be.
